There are two levels of VBCOA Membership

Voting Members

Advantages

A Voting Member may:

  • receive email updates throughout the year
  • vote for the VBCOA board at the Annual General Meeting (AGM);
  • submit and vote for proposals at the AGM;
  • run for a position on the VBCOA board.

Criteria

A Voting Member must be:

  • an individual Registered Owner of a residential property in the vehicle restricted area (a VRA Lot) [Bylaw 2.1]
  • registered with the Association and may be required to periodically confirm eligibility in a manner decided upon by the Board [Bylaw 2.2]

further:

  • each Voting Member has one (1) vote, notwithstanding the number of VRA Lot titles they may hold [Bylaw 2.3]
  • each VRA Lot is entitled to a maximum of two (2) Voting Members, regardless of the number of Registered Owners associated with the Lot [Bylaw 2.4]

Registration

Associate Members

Advantages

An Associate Member may:

  • receive membership-wide email updates throughout the year;
  • attend and participate in the AGM.
     

Criteria

An Associate Member must be:

  • a member of a Voting Member's immediate family and be 18 years of age or older [Bylaw 2.5]

further:

  • an Associate Member may be required to periodically confirm eligibility in a manner decided upon by the Board [Bylaw 2.6]
